Requirements for shots posted before February 2023.
Image Shots
- Maximum 10MB file size
- Must be in the PNG, JPG, or GIF format
- Recommended minimum resolution of 2800 x 2100
All shots on Dribbble appear in a 4:3 aspect ratio. Your shot can either be uploaded as 4:3 or cropped to that size as part of the upload process.
Why is my shot blurry or small?
Older shots or shots uploaded at a lower resolution may not fill the entire shot window on larger resolution screens (retina displays, etc.). At this time, you can't change the image once it's uploaded, but you're welcome to rebound your existing shots with an updated image or delete and repost the shot.
How can I view my shot at full size? (Pro Only)
To make your shot available at fullscreen, hover over your shot on the edit view, and select 'Keep original file for fullscreen view?' Once you've selected that option, you should see a magnifying glass when you open the shot view.
GIF Shots
What are the requirements for GIF shots?
- Maximum 10MB file size
- Recommended resolution of 1600 x 1200
- Must be in the 4:3 aspect ratio
My GIF is not looping. Can you help?
We don’t modify the original file you upload. Bad configuration or a problem in the image export is usually to blame for GIF looping issues. Try verifying that your original file you exported locally loops in various browsers.
Can I select a teaser frame for my animated GIF?
Not at this time. We automatically use the first frame of the video or animation for the teaser, so plan how your shot cycles carefully!
Video Shots
What are the requirements for video shots?
- Maximum 20MB file size (the same as still images and animated GIFs)
- Must be 24 seconds in length or shorter
- Must be cropped to an exact 4:3 aspect ratio
- Must be in the MP4 format
There is no restriction on the resolution of a video as long as it meets the above criteria.
Who can post video shots?
A Pro subscription is required to upload video files. Team Members will be able to post video shots to the team profile but can not post them to their personal account.
Why am I getting an error uploading my video?
Can I select a teaser frame for my Video?
Not at this time. We automatically use the first frame of the video for the teaser, so plan how your shot cycles carefully!
