Understanding the payment process is essential for managing your freelance work effectively. This guide will provide you with a clear overview of how and when you’ll receive your payments for Dribbble Projects. We’ll cover the steps from when funds are collected to the final payout.
When will I be paid for my work?
- Funds Secured at Project Start: Before starting each project, funds are collected from the client and held in project funding to secure payment for both parties throughout the project's duration.
- Client Sign-Off: After submitting your work for final review, the client then has up to 7 days to review and can either request changes or choose to release the payment.
- Payment Processing: Once the client accepts your work and selects ‘Release Payment,’ the payout process begins. The payout then enters a 7-day holding period before being released.
What is the 7-Day Holding Period?
All payments are subject to a 7-day holding period. This practice is standard across marketplace platforms, enhances security, and prevents fraud.
