We understand that sometimes projects don’t go as planned, and we’re here to assist you. This guide will help you navigate the process of canceling a project or requesting a refund on Dribbble.
Your Plans Have Changed
If you need to cancel a project due to changes in your plans, start by discussing a fair solution with the designer. If the work has started and a partial payment is agreed upon, contact Dribbble support for assistance in organizing that payout.
If no work has been started, inform the designer immediately and proceed to cancel the project through your project page. Instructions on how to cancel are provided below.
For cancellations within 24 hours, you will receive a refund for the Platform and Processing fees along with the Project Cost. Cancellations made after 24 hours will not include refunds for these fees.
Addressing Project Issues or Unsatisfactory Work
When the project isn’t meeting your expectations or the work is unsatisfactory, first, try to resolve the issues by communicating with the designer. Discuss any necessary changes or improvements.

If continuing the project isn't feasible due to these issues, but some work has been completed, agree on a final payout with your designer and contact Dribbble support to help arrange that payment.
If no work has been completed, or if you prefer to receive a full refund, you can request to cancel the project. Should the designer agree, you'll receive a refund for the full Project Cost (excluding Platform and Processing fees).
All cancellations are reviewed by a third party to ensure fairness and accuracy.
If the designer does not agree to the cancellation, the project will enter Project Mediation to determine a fair and final outcome. For more details on the mediation process, visit Project Mediation.
Designer Cancellations
If your designer cancels the project for any reason, you will receive a full refund. Should this happen, we can assist you in finding a new designer to continue your project. Explore available designers here: Find Designers.
Dealing with an Unresponsive Designer
We understand that an unresponsive designer can be frustrating. If you've been unable to reach your designer or they haven't been active on your project, you can cancel the project using the steps outlined below. If the designer doesn’t reply within 72 hours of requesting cancellation, you'll automatically receive a refund of the Project Cost.
