What can’t I post on Dribbble?
Your intention as a Dribbble designer should be to post shots of your real-world work (or work-in-progress). With this overall goal in mind, there are many types of shots we don’t accept on the site. The Dribbble team will reserve the right to reject any shots that fall into the categories below:
-
No digital downloads and design assets: This includes product mockups, icon packs and web templates that are for sale or given away for free.
- This means any shot with text like “Download 10 Free Icons”, “50 T-Shirt Design Pack”, “Amazon Storefront Designs For Sale” and anything similar will be removed from the site.
- If you’re interested in advertising on Dribbble, you can learn more here.
- No advertisements for design service work: We don’t allow designers to post advertisements for their photo retouching, object removal, colour correction, or other service work.
- No affiliate links: Posting content to earn affiliate revenue is considered fraud and will not be allowed. Any links included in posts should direct to your website, social media, or a product that you or your client have created.
-
No wholly generated AI content: We do accept shots that include generative AI creations, but nothing that’s 100% generative AI. When you’re creating content with AI assistance, it is recommended to acknowledge the contribution of AI in your shot description.
- No Unaltered Stock Content: Similar to AI, you can use stock media assets within your design to create your final product, but you cannot list the stock content itself.
- No promotional videos, commercials, or tutorials: Additionally, if videos have sound, please make sure it’s at a reasonable volume, and that it’s relevant to the shot.
- No shots that violate our Guidelines or Terms of Service: You can find additional Terms and Guidelines for shots here: dribbble.com/guidelines and dribbble.com/terms.
Other Work Not Featured on Dribbble
While we would love to be a home for all types of creatives, our current focus is on graphic design. We don’t accept any submissions outside of the design categories listed above. Please don’t upload the following:
- Photography: Personal or professional photography won’t be accepted. However, if a photo shows off your graphic design work (for instance, your logo on a mug, billboard, sticker, etc.), that’s acceptable. It’s the art in the photo, not the art of the photo.
- No architectural visualizations or interior design work.
- No fashion design: Shots of your designs on apparel and clothing are acceptable, though.
- No physical object designs/engineering: Please limit your shots to digital designs. However, depending on the context, some hand-drawn or “analog” designs may be acceptable
- No marketing services: This includes SEO, copywriting, and other marketing work in general.
Exceptions:
While outright promotional posts aren’t allowed, there are some nuances that allow designers to post shots that promote products for purchase:
- Designs with a Promotional Message: If the shot intends to promote the design first and the promotional aspect comes secondary, it is less likely to be removed from the site. This typeface, for instance, is for sale, but the primary intent of the shot is to show off the awesome design work. The typeface information and purchase link is tastefully placed in the description:

- Work shared by product design teams: Design teams or individuals working on products or services can share their work, highlighting their contributions to these projects. While the shot might promote a new feature or the service itself, the primary goal should be to share the creative process and achievements.
